HB3731

Illinois HB3731 amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act to restrict additional standardbred racing licenses in Cook County.

Illinois HB3731 amends the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 to impose a 35-mile radius restriction on the issuance of additional organization licenses for standardbred racing in Cook County. This restriction applies to licenses issued before the effective date of the amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly. The Illinois Racing Board must not issue a license within this radius of another license unless the racetrack operator provides written consent. The Board reviews applications within 21 days and may require amendments if deficiencies are found.
