Introduced Text

HB3622 amends the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act to subject all subcontractors and subrecipients of state grants to its provisions.

HB3622 amends the Grant Accountability and Transparency Act to ensure that all subcontractors and subrecipients who receive state grants, whether directly or indirectly, are subject to its provisions. This includes being subject to auditing by the Auditor General and the transparency provisions of the Act. The Governor's Office of Management and Budget, with the advice and technical assistance of the Illinois Single Audit Commission, will adopt necessary rules. The Act does not affect the Illinois State Auditing Act or the external audit function of the Auditor General.
