Illinois HB3616 amends the Affordable Housing Planning and Appeal Act by requiring the Illinois Housing Development Authority to collect data on owner-occupied and rental units for each local government. The data includes units affordable to households with incomes less than 80% of the median household income and between 80% and 140% of the median household income within the county or primary metropolitan statistical area. The data collected for the 80% to 140% AMI households is for informational purposes only and does not factor into the determination of exempt local governments.
