The Potawatomi Land Transfer Task Force Act creates a task force to ensure the rights of Illinois citizens residing on land transferred to the Prairie Band Potawatomi Tribe are protected. The task force will determine necessary agreements and provisions to continue services for these citizens. It comprises 40 members from various local governmental authorities, appointed by the Director of Natural Resources by January 1, 2026. The Department of Natural Resources will provide administrative support. The task force must submit a comprehensive report by December 31, 2030.
