Illinois HB3465 amends the Freedom of Information Act by expanding the definition of "public records" to include records of individuals on electronic monitoring and the number of violations they have committed. These records, which may be maintained by judicial offices, are subject to inspection and copying under the Act. The bill also amends the Unified Code of Corrections to specify that these electronic monitoring records are public records and must be disclosed, inspected, and copied as required by the Freedom of Information Act.
