Illinois HB3386 amends the ID/DD Community Care Act to require the Department of Public Health to adopt and implement streamlined and person-centered procedures for appealing resident assessments conducted by the inspection of care team. The Department must finalize these procedures by January 1, 2026. The bill also allows for emergency rules to expedite the implementation of these procedures, deemed necessary for public interest, safety, and welfare. This Act takes effect July 1, 2025.
