HB3346 amends the Child Care Act of 1969 to revise licensing standards for group day care homes in Illinois. The bill directs the Department of Children and Family Services to update its rules to allow a revised maximum authorized extended capacity for group day care homes, effective through July 1, 2027. The new rules will permit one caregiver and two assistants to care for up to two additional children aged 30 months or older and two additional children attending school full-time.
