Illinois HB3295 amends the Day and Temporary Labor Services Act to regulate fees charged by labor service agencies. The bill allows agencies to charge a placement fee to third-party clients for employing day or temporary laborers, provided the fee is agreed upon in advance or does not exceed a calculated maximum. The bill also specifies that no fee can be charged if the laborer is offered permanent work after the agency's registration is suspended or revoked. The bill further clarifies that skilled labor placements are exempt from the fee cap.
