The Illinois Medicare for All Health Care Act aims to provide universal health care coverage for all Illinois residents. The Act establishes the Illinois Health Services Program, which offers comprehensive health coverage including primary care, specialty care, inpatient and outpatient care, emergency services, prescription drugs, durable medical equipment, long-term care, mental health services, and dental care. The Act prohibits private insurers from offering duplicate coverage and bans investor-ownership of health facilities.
