Illinois HB3284 allows municipalities to install specialized traffic control devices at emergency response vehicle access points.

Illinois HB3284 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to permit municipalities or local governments to install specialized traffic control devices at intersections where emergency response vehicles enter the roadway or within 1,000 feet of structures where such vehicles are stored. These devices can be controlled by the emergency response unit or fire station as the vehicles enter or exit traffic. The bill aims to enhance safety and efficiency for emergency response vehicles.
