Illinois HB3283 amends the Community Behavioral Health Care Professional Loan Repayment Program Act by changing the grant award amounts for various behavioral health care professionals. The Illinois Student Assistance Commission must award grants to qualified applicants for up to four years. The grants are intended to help repay educational loans for professionals such as psychiatrists, advanced practice registered nurses, psychologists, and others. At least 30% of the funding must be reserved for minority applicants.
