Illinois HB3241 allows counties to opt out of the Illinois TRUST Act by adopting a resolution.

HB3241 amends the Illinois TRUST Act to give county boards the option to exempt their counties from the Act's provisions. If a county board adopts a resolution to opt out on or after the bill's effective date, the county and its officers or employees will not be held civilly or criminally liable for noncompliance. This provision applies regardless of any other laws to the contrary.
