HB3232, known as the Tribal Law Enforcement Borders Act, allows law enforcement officers from Native American Indian Tribes to exercise their powers within their reservation's exterior limits if they have a valid insurance agreement. County sheriffs and their deputies can exercise law enforcement powers anywhere within their county. Municipal law enforcement officers can exercise their powers within their municipality and outside when necessary to protect health, safety, and welfare.
