TICKETS-CONSUMER PROTECTIONS

Introduced·2/6/25
Introduced Text

Illinois HB3108 amends the Ticket Sale and Resale Act to enhance consumer protections for ticket sales and resales.

HB3108 amends the Ticket Sale and Resale Act to introduce several consumer protection measures for ticket sales and resales. It mandates that ticket sellers and resellers display the full price of a ticket, including all fees, when first shown to the consumer and prohibits increasing that price during the transaction. Ticket issuers must deliver tickets within four days of purchase unless otherwise disclosed. The Act also requires ticket issuers to disclose the number of tickets withheld from sale.
