Illinois HB3095 modifies the Guardianship and Advocacy Act by changing the composition of regional authorities. Each regional authority will now consist of at least 7 and no more than 9 members appointed by the Director. The bill ensures that these members are knowledgeable and experienced in mental health, developmental disabilities, and vocational rehabilitation services. The Director must consider diversity and recommendations when making appointments. Members serve without compensation but are reimbursed for expenses.
