Illinois HB3090 amends the School Code to remove provisions that allowed local programs for the education of gifted and talented children to be approved for state funding if funds were available and if the local program submitted an application for funds. The bill also removes the requirement for the State Board of Education to develop an approval process for educational programs for gifted and talented children.
