Establishes the Out-of-School Time (OST) Advisory Council to advise on policy and funding for OST programs.
The bill creates the Out-of-School Time (OST) Advisory Council to provide information and advice to the Governor and State agencies on policy and funding issues affecting OST programs. The Council includes representatives from the General Assembly, State agencies, OST providers, and community partners. It meets at least four times a year and provides recommendations on funding, quality of services, challenges, equitable reach, and reporting requirements. The Council also delivers an annual report on OST successes and growth areas. The Act takes effect July 1, 2025.
