Amends the Illinois Police Training Act to change the composition of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board.

The bill amends the Illinois Police Training Act to change the composition of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board. It replaces the Sheriff of Cook County with a member from the Office of the Sheriff of Cook County. The Board will consist of 18 members, including ex officio members and those appointed by the Governor. The Review Committee, composed of nine members, will review disciplinary cases. Board members must recuse themselves from decisions if they have a conflict of interest.
