Illinois HB2859 amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934 to require distributors of wine or spirits to deliver to any retailer at least once every two weeks if the retailer agrees to purchase a minimum amount of wine or spirits. The bill removes the $50 minimum purchase requirement for retailers in counties with populations under 3,000,000 that are not adjacent to larger counties. The dollar amounts for minimum purchases will be adjusted every two years based on the Consumer Price Index.
