Amends the Line of Duty Compensation Act to expand the definition of "law enforcement officer.

The bill amends the Line of Duty Compensation Act by expanding the definition of "law enforcement officer" to include any person working as a volunteer for the State or a local governmental entity in some position involving the enforcement of the law and protection of the public interest at the risk of that person's life. This includes volunteers assisting with parking and traffic. The bill also includes definitions for terms such as "fireman," "civil defense worker," "civil air patrol member," "paramedic," "chaplain," and "State employee.
