Illinois HB2634 amends the Preventing Youth Vaping Act to regulate electronic cigarettes.

HB2634 amends the Preventing Youth Vaping Act by adding new provisions regarding electronic cigarette certifications and prohibitions. Distributors, secondary distributors, and retailers must obtain a certification from manufacturers stating that the electronic cigarettes are not adulterated. Distributors, secondary distributors, or retailers are not liable for false or misleading statements in these certifications. The bill also prohibits altering electronic cigarette packaging to remove required statements or labels and selling electronic cigarettes with such altered packaging.
