HB2602 amends the Criminal Code of 2012 to extend the statute of limitations for various criminal offenses. It allows prosecution for soliciting for a juvenile prostitute, juvenile pimping, exploitation of a child, or promoting juvenile prostitution within one year of the victim attaining the age of 18 years, but not sooner than 3 years after the offense. Prosecution for offenses involving sexual conduct or sexual penetration may be commenced within one year after the discovery of the offense by the victim or the proper prosecuting officer.
