Introduced Text

Illinois HB2538 mandates wellness checks for adults with developmental disabilities who lose a parental guardian.

Illinois HB2538 amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act to require the Department of Human Services to request a wellness check from the designated adult protective services agency or provider agency within 6 months of learning that an adult with a developmental disability has lost a parental guardian.
