Illinois HB2513 establishes a Lyme Disease Innovation scratch-off game to fund awareness and prevention efforts.

HB2513 creates a special Lyme Disease Innovation scratch-off game to raise funds for the Lyme Disease Innovation Program. The net revenue from the game will be deposited into the Lyme Disease Awareness Fund, supporting awareness and prevention efforts. The program aims to engage stakeholders, facilitate patient-centered innovations, and collect data on tick-borne diseases. The game will run from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2035. The University of Illinois' INHS Medical Entomology Program will also be funded to conduct tick surveillance and research.
