Illinois HB2489 removes daily billing limits for community day services for adults with developmental disabilities.

Illinois HB2489 amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to require the Department of Healthcare and Family Services to adjust the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver Program for Adults with Developmental Disabilities. The bill removes the 5-hour per day billing maximums for providers of community day services. It does not change the monthly and yearly billing maximums. This change takes effect January 1, 2026.
