HB2433 amends the State Finance Act to allow the Secretary of State to maintain a petty cash fund in excess of $1,000, specifically for making change at Secretary of State Motor Vehicle Facilities. The bill also allows the Department of Revenue to maintain a petty cash fund up to $2,000 at each facility. These funds must be retained on the premises of the facility and used solely for making change. The Comptroller must approve the establishment of these funds after investigating the need and ensuring adequate accounting controls.
