Illinois HB2428 increases reimbursement rates for applied behavior analysis services for autism treatment by 3.5% starting January 1, 2026.

Illinois HB2428 amends the Illinois Public Aid Code to increase reimbursement rates for applied behavior analysis services for autism treatment by 3.5% starting January 1, 2026. These services, which must be ordered by a licensed physician or psychologist and evaluated by a qualified behavior analyst, are covered for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The Department of Financial and Professional Regulation oversees provider enrollment and may conduct annual on-site reviews of these services.
