Illinois HB2359 amends the Illinois Vehicle Code to allow the Secretary of State to issue special EMS chief license plates to emergency medical service chiefs upon request from a municipality or fire protection district. These plates can be affixed to vehicles owned by EMS chiefs, municipalities, or fire protection districts. The bill also permits EMS chiefs to equip their privately owned vehicles with emergency flashing lights and sirens if they display the special EMS chief plates.
