HB2350 amends the Law Enforcement Officer-Worn Body Camera Act to include auxiliary officers as law enforcement officers for purposes of the Act. It also amends the Law Enforcement Camera Grant Act to require the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board to make grants to local governments and public universities for purchasing or leasing body cameras and associated technology for auxiliary officers. These grants can also be used for training auxiliary officers in the operation of the cameras.
