The Illinois Drug Reuse Opportunity Program Act is amended to update recordkeeping requirements and clarify definitions. The bill mandates that all records required under the Act be retained in physical or electronic format for six years. It allows donors or recipients to contract with each other or a third party to create or maintain records. An identifier, such as a serial number or bar code, may replace required information if it allows for the original information to be readily retrievable upon request.
