HB2340 amends the Wildlife Code to allow the issuance of free landowner deer, turkey, and combination hunting permits to Illinois landowners, resident tenants, and bona fide equity shareholders, members, or partners who own at least 20 acres in a county with chronic wasting disease cases. Permits are free for bona fide equity shareholders, members, or partners owning at least 40 acres in other counties. Nonresidents owning at least 40 acres in affected counties or 20 acres elsewhere must pay a fee. The method for obtaining these permits is prescribed by administrative rule.
