HB2340 amends the Illinois Wildlife Code to authorize free landowner deer, turkey, and combination hunting permits for Illinois landowners and resident tenants owning at least 40 acres or 20 acres in counties with chronic wasting disease. It also allows free permits for bona fide equity shareholders, members, or partners owning at least 40 acres or 20 acres in affected counties, provided they hunt only on their land. The permits are valid on all owned, leased, or rented land, or land owned by the corporation, company, or partnership.
