Illinois HB1924 mandates the Chicago Transit Authority to establish a free transportation program for students aged 18 and under to youth programs.

Illinois HB1924 amends the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act to require the Chicago Transit Authority to create a program allowing students aged 18 and under who are enrolled in participating institutions to use CTA buses and trains for free transportation to youth programs or services. The program must be established by July 1, 2026, subject to appropriation. The bill takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
