Illinois HB1894 allows voters to photograph their own ballots and view such photographs, while prohibiting the exchange of money or valuables for.

Illinois HB1894 amends the Election Code to clarify that voters may photograph their own ballots at any time during the voting process and view photographs of completed or partially completed ballots. However, it prohibits any person from giving, promising, or receiving money or other valuable consideration in connection with the dissemination or viewing of such ballot photographs, classifying this as a Class 4 felony. This Act takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
