Illinois HB1869 allows the State Superintendent of Education to designate learning partners for school improvement.

HB1869 amends the School Code to enable the State Superintendent of Education to designate regional offices of education or intermediate service centers as learning partners. This designation supports schools identified for improvement under the accountability system and the Targeted, Comprehensive, or Intensive definitions. The status of learning partner can be revoked at the State Superintendent's discretion. Effective July 1, 2025.
