Illinois HB1615 amends the Flag Display Act to allow the U.S. national flag to be displayed on the grounds of a courthouse, not just on the top of a courthouse. It also mandates that each county board must provide flags of at least four by eight feet in size. The flag must be unfurled and kept floating from a suitable flag-staff from eight a.m. to five p.m. on legal holidays and other days directed by the county board. The county board may also provide for the display of an MIA flag at the courthouse.
