Prohibits fees for filing modifications to unlawful restrictive covenants in Illinois.
Amends the Counties Code to prohibit county recorders from imposing fees for filing modifications to unlawful restrictive covenants. Requires boards of associations or cooperatives to execute and file modifications upon request. The recorder may not record modifications unless the State's Attorney determines they are appropriate. The recorder also may not charge fees for copies of records necessary for filing modifications.
