HB1445

Illinois HB1445 extends early voting hours at public university student unions.

Illinois HB1445 amends the Election Code to extend early voting hours at student unions on public university campuses. The bill mandates that early voting, grace period registration, and grace period voting must occur from the 6th day before a general primary or general election until the day before the election, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On the day of the election, voting must be conducted from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This change applies to all public universities within the jurisdiction of the election authority.
