Illinois HB1399 mandates the Department of Public Health to provide safe gun storage information at all Secretary of State driver services facilities.

Illinois HB1399 amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law to require the Department of Public Health to ensure safe gun storage information is available at all Secretary of State driver services facilities. The Department may utilize existing public or private programs to implement this requirement. Additionally, the Department must disseminate safe gun storage information on its website and in Department facilities. This Act takes effect January 1, 2026.
