ED-WAIVER PROCESS TASK FORCE

Establishes the Waiver Process Task Force to recommend improvements to the waiver process for elementary and secondary schools in Illinois.

The bill creates the Waiver Process Task Force to examine the current waiver response process and recommend improvements for a more equitable and fair waiver process at the elementary and secondary school levels. The Task Force will develop metrics to assess waiver requests, promote training on accountability measures, identify resources to support the waiver process, and make recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly. The Task Force will dissolve after submitting its report by December 31, 2025.
