Establishes the Wholesale Prescription Drug Importation Program to import lower-cost prescription drugs from Canada.

The Wholesale Prescription Drug Importation Program Act creates a program to import lower-cost prescription drugs from Canada. The Illinois Department of Public Health will establish the program by contracting with prescription drug wholesalers and Canadian suppliers, developing a registration process for health benefit plan issuers, health care providers, and pharmacies, and publishing a list of eligible drugs on the Department's website. The program aims to provide cost savings to consumers, health plans, employers, and the state.
