The Utilizing Illinois Energy Resources Task Force Act creates a task force to study methods for supporting and expanding the use of natural resources in Illinois, including coal, crude oil, and natural gas. The task force will include the Director of Natural Resources, members appointed by legislative leaders, and representatives from entities engaged in resource extraction and the agriculture community. The task force will file a report by December 31, 2026, and will be abolished upon filing the report. The act is repealed on June 1, 2027.
