Illinois HB1140 amends the Criminal Code to restrict the activities of child sex offenders. It prohibits child sex offenders from knowingly residing within 500 feet of a school building or real property comprising any school that persons under 18 attend. It also prohibits them from knowingly loitering within 500 feet of a school building or real property comprising any school while persons under 18 are present.
