HB1124 amends the Illinois Act on the Aging to strengthen the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. The bill mandates that long term care facilities, supportive living facilities, assisted living establishments, shared housing establishments, and State-operated developmental centers display the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program's toll-free telephone number and website on their websites. It also requires these facilities to allow ombudsmen immediate access to residents and permit ombudsmen to examine and copy residents' clinical and other records with consent.
