HB1076 amends the Illinois Insurance Code to mandate that health insurance policies cover early egg and peanut allergen introduction dietary supplements for infants. These supplements must be prescribed by a health care practitioner and provided without cost-sharing. The bill also requires the Department of Insurance to adopt a model similar to the requirements of Section 356z.39 of the Illinois Insurance Code. Effective immediately.
