HB1054

PREVAILING WAGE-PENALTIES

Introduced·1/9/25
Introduced Text

Amends the Prevailing Wage Act to update payroll record-keeping requirements for public works projects.

The bill amends the Prevailing Wage Act to update payroll record-keeping requirements for public works projects. Contractors and subcontractors must maintain records for three years before January 1, 2014, and five years after. These records must include detailed worker information and wage rates. Upon activation of a new database by the Department of Labor, records will be submitted to this database instead of the public body in charge of the project. The bill also specifies penalties for willfully failing to file certified payrolls or filing false ones.
