The bill amends the Unified Code of Corrections to specify that the Department must provide employment counseling and job placement services to parolees and releasees. It also allows the Department to provide additional services such as assistance in residential placement, family and individual counseling, treatment placement, and financial counseling. If these services are not available, the Department may purchase them. The bill allows the Department to assess costs to parolees and releasees based on their ability to pay.
