Illinois HB0079 amends the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) to suspend retirement annuities for employees who return to work with a participating employer. Specifically, if an annuitant returns to work as a school security guard and works more than 999 hours annually, or as an employee with more than 599 hours annually, their annuity is suspended. The suspended annuity is reinstated upon termination of the employment, with any increases after retirement computed from the effective date to the date of reinstatement.
