Illinois HB0068, known as the Bottled Drinking Water Sales Act, establishes price limits for bottled drinking water sold at entertainment venues. Starting January 1, 2026, venues cannot charge more than $2.00 for bottles of 16 ounces or less, $2.50 for bottles between 16.01 and 19.99 ounces, $3.00 for bottles between 20 and 23.99 ounces, and $4.00 for bottles of 24 ounces or more. The Attorney General will adjust these rates every five years based on the Consumer Price Index. Violators face a civil penalty of up to 10% of total ticket sales from the event where the violation occurred.
