Illinois HB0034 makes it illegal to carry or possess a firearm in a polling place, except for peace officers on duty.

Illinois HB0034 amends the Election Code to add a new section prohibiting the carrying or possession of firearms in polling places. This prohibition applies to all individuals except peace officers performing their official duties. Violators would be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor.
