The bill establishes the State Retiree Medicare Primacy Coordination Audit and Assistance Program to identify and assist eligible Illinois retirees and their dependents in enrolling in Medicare. The program will conduct annual audits of the State health benefits program for participants in the State Employees Group Insurance Program, the Teachers' Retirement Insurance Program, and the College Insurance Program. It will also assist individuals who become disabled and are not enrolled in Social Security Disability Insurance and Medicare.
